VACATION BIBLE CAMP 2025: TRUE NORTH

Monday June 9 – Friday June 13

2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Cost $155 per child / scholarships available upon request

Ages: Pre-K(4 by June 1st) through completion of 4th grade

At Vacation Bible Camp, kids and volunteers seek kindness, mercy, and justice in the world through games, Bible stories, arts and crafts, and – most of all – fun! Camp is where kids learn how to play, have fellowship, and serve God and one another. Come gather, play, and rejoice in God’s wonders.

Come join the adventure this summer as we trek through the Alaskan wilderness, seeking to know how Jesus is our best compass to find True North. We begin each afternoon at Sing & Play Peak, gathering as a whole camp and getting to know the Bible Point of the day. Then Crew leaders and assistants take campers through four rotations: Imagination Station, Wild Bible Adventures, Glacier Games, and Service/Mission, all led by wonderful Rotation leader. Of course, we also break for a mid-camp snack at our Tundra Treats outpost! We round out each day at Compass Closing where LOPC pastors help us summarize all we have learned on our journey. Make new friends and join the fun this June at LOPC’s Vacation Bible Camp!

Registration for 2025 will open on January 15. We hope you will join us this summer!

VOLUNTEER WITH US!

VBC Volunteers are the heartbeat of our camp. We’d like to open our camp to as many kids as possible, but our space is limited by volunteer capacity. It takes many hands to make the week a memorable and meaningful experience for the children of our community, and friendships made with other volunteers can last a lifetime. Please consider offering your time and talents in one of several areas:

CREW LEADER/ASSISTANT: Guide a small crew of campers as they move about the LOPC campus. Foster friendships and get to know the group.

ROTATION LEADER/ASSISTANT: Serve in a specific station (science, games, mission, Bible story) and lead each group through a series of daily activities. Curriculum, materials, and training are provided. You get to know everyone who comes to your station!

HOSPITALITY: Help with check-in, errand running, snack cart for volunteers, etc.

ADVANCE CREW: Build set components and help with other décor, help prepare materials (cutting, sorting, etc) so lessons are ready to go.

For more information or details, please email Susan Wentworth.

Frequently asked Questions

  • Why do I need an account to register?
    • Online registration is done through our InFellowship system, which helps us capture the data we need to keep your child safe during the week of camp.
  • Are scholarships available?
    • Yes! We want your child here with us at camp no matter what. Please contact Emily Austin to inquire about scholarships.
  • Can I pick my child up from VB Camp early?
    • Yes! Please come directly to the Welcome Center, and one of our Hospitality Team will assist you in signing your child out. Please do not try and find your child on campus without a member of the Hospitality Team escorting you. We will not check children out during our Closing Ceremony, after 4:30p, so please pick your child up before then.
  • Can my child attend VB Camp only a few days during the week?
    • Yes! However, we cannot prorate registration based on attendance.
  • Will my child be with their friends?
    • Yes! When you register, you may note on the form if your child has friends with whom they’d like to be placed. Please note that we cannot accommodate all friend requests, and groups will be assigned based on age/grade and other factors.
  • Can older children volunteer?
    • Yes! We love having teenagers volunteer at camp. Please fill out a Volunteer Registration form for your teenager.
  • Do volunteers need to be background checked?
    • Yes! All volunteers over the age of 18 will need to be background checked.
