Looking for Ways TO Serve?

Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano

LOPC realizes the importance of what the food bank does for those struggling with food insecurity and supports the fight to end hunger in our community.   LOPC began its annual support in 2007.  It’s has sent countless volunteers and financial support to assist the Food Bank in its monumental task of providing enough food for our community.

Monument Crisis Center

LOPC’s relationship with MCC began in the original location on Monument Boulevard, where it all started.  At that time, MCC was a food oasis for those living in the Monument corridor.  Most clients walked down the street to pick-up a grocery bag full of staples to last several weeks.  LOPC embraced their efforts and has supported MCC throughout every stage of its development.

Hope Solutions

Hope Solutions heals the effects of poverty and homelessness by providing permanent housing solutions and vital support services to highly vulnerable families and individuals. Founded in 1991 as Contra Costa Interfaith Housing, LOPC joined with other nearby congregations in response to the growing crisis of homelessness in our area. Today LOPC continues to support Hope Solutions and their proven model of providing permanent housing as a way to decrease homelessness in Contra Costa County.

Stand for Families Free of Violence

STAND! For Families Free of Violence is a catalyst for breaking the multi-generational cycle of violence, promoting safe and strong relationships, and rebuilding lives.” LOPC began supporting its mission beginning in 2011 with annual financial support and volunteer service and recently supported a new Batterer’s Transition Program focused on deterring recidivism. In 2021, LOPC received Stand’s Rollie Mullen Leadership Award for its volunteer efforts.
