Leadership & Service Opportunities

There are many opportunities for youth to use their gifts and interests to serve & lead our community. Find out more by sending us an email.

SERVING OUR COMMUNITY

Community needs are constantly changing. Contact us to find out more about what our local mission partner organizations’ currently need from volunteers. Action steps may include preparing food at the local Food Bank for distribution, helping to tutor elementary school students, or helping to maintain local homeless shelter facilities and grounds.

SERVING OUR CHURCH

Sanctuary Services for 5th-12th Graders – Youth contribute to the Church community by serving as leaders. Youth lead as greeters, ushers, musicians, tech support, or leading liturgy and prayers up front. Sundays, During Worship Services.

Youth Praise Band for 5th-12th Graders – Band members lead peers in worship at youth group and grow in musical skill under the guidance of a trained musician.

Preschool & Children’s Ministry Support for 5th-12th Graders – Support Sunday School leaders while helping children discover the love of God. Youth work alongside an awesome staff team and receive extensive training. Sundays, during worship services.

Middle School Ministry Support for 10th-12th Graders – Youth serve as role models and mentors for Middle School students during Sunday School and as small group leaders or worship leaders at YOW youth group.

Special Needs Buddies & Respite Night Support for 9th-12th Graders – Youth are paired with a special needs child, helping the child participate in children’s programs and showing the child the love of God.

  • Sunday School: Sundays, During Worship Services
  • Respite Nights: First Friday of the month, October through June

FOREST (Fellowship of Restorative and Engaged Student-Teachers) for 9th-12th Graders – FOREST gives youth an opportunity to gain leadership skills they can use throughout life. Youth receive individual attention as they seek to discover and apply their unique interests and gifts as leaders in the church and beyond. FOREST gathers in the Lower Youth Room 5:00pm once a month!

Youth Deacons – Youth deacons serve alongside adult deacons with opportunities to participate in leadership training, communion, visitations, meal ministry, memorial service support, Compassion Child letters, and care for youth.
