The Apostles’ Creed

Often in faith it can be helpful to go back to basics. For the Christian tradition we are guided by creeds and confessions that have shaped faith in the church for generations. One creed that summarizes the essentials of our faith is the Apostles Creed. Whether you are new to faith or if you are inspired to go back to basics, please join us for our Eastertide sermon series on this essential statement of faith.

April 27: I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

May 11: And in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried.

May 18: The third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

May 25: I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins.

June 1: The resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
