Parent Education Event for Parents with Preschool and Elementary Age Children

Friday, September 12th from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. at Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church (in the Oak Room) The Child in Front of You: Seeing with Curiosity, Parenting with Compassion

This interactive session will offer parents a reflective view on understanding their children during high-pressure moments and the positive impact of responding in a loving and compassionate way. The session will help parents to understand behavior as communication and the ability to reconnect with your child’s true needs. In addition, parents will learn how to take pause during difficult situations and to respond with clarity and intention, allowing for a calm, tender, and positive environment for both the child and parent.

Our speaker, Yush Sztalkoper is the founder of NeuroSpark+ and the creator of Root Reflection™ and the SHIFT Method™ – frameworks that blend neuroscience, lived experience, and practical compassion to support emotional safety and belonging for all children and youth. She partners with parents, educators, and organizations to move from reactivity to regulation, offering tools and insights that are as grounded as they are human.
